OrCAD Layout 17.2 Useful Tips

Text Size

You can easily change the all the text in a board file or symbol at once. Not exactly what you’re looking for but it is quick and it works.

1. Right Click > Super Filter > Text
2. Edit > Change Objects
3. Check box for Text Block
4. Select Text Size.
5. Highlight all text.
This will change all the text you highlight to the size that is selected.

Changing the name of film

To change the name of the Available Films, you must select the film you want to change, then slowly click on it again to get it into edit mode.
Below shows the name in ‘Edit Mode’:

Order of PDF printing

Highlight the available film, then choose PDF sequence on right.

Below Fil 17_ASSEMBLY_BOTTOM is highlighted. Look over to the top right of the window, under ‘Film options’ and you’ll see ‘Film name: 17_ASSEMBLY_BOTT’ is printed. Down below is the ‘PDF Sequence where you change the order of the print sqeuence
